Users review: Yes, it is formulaic in some areas. As a writer, I could see several elements of the plot more or less from scratch. But this film is not intended to be complex or Avenger level in terms of characterization. The time just good fun, and interesting cast and a lot of laughs. Jeff Bridges is priceless, and she and Ryan Reynolds working together. Ryan and his acolyte business looks and deadpan delivery is certainly nice. Mary Louise Parker, who scarily cheerful chew scenery and Load Lines unusual, is wonderful as Proctor.Some reviewers seem to insist to show the film hands like a poor rip-off of Men in Black or Ghostbusters. It did not. Its only fun movie, witty specific gender-based independent comic book publisher Dark Horse. Well, and some popcorn, laugh, and enjoy the summer. |
